Making Moves on Film

The Welcoming Project went online for Culture Night 2020 premiering three new dance films inspired by the company’s dance and music works, with new studio recordings under the direction of music director Martin Schaerer:

Le Chéile inspired by the company’s 2019 work of the same name

I can’t go back from the company’s 2017 work It takes a village

Lulu’s Wedding Palestinian dabke piece from Welcoming the Stranger

The two hour programme also featured live workshops in West African dance with Yahya Kamaté from New Jersey and Dabke dance with Salma Ataya from Palestine.
